HOLY GHOST AND FIRE

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Before He ascended into heaven, Jesus instructed His Apostles to wait in Jerusalem for the the Holy Spirit to come upon them:

“And being assembled together with them (His Apostles), He commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which He said, you have heard of Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence…You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Acts 1:4-5, 8.

The Apostles were already Christians, of course, when they went to the upper room in Jerusalem and waited for the Holy Ghost to come upon them, as Jesus instructed them to do:

“And when the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they (the Apostles and others) were all with one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance…And they were all (others standing by) amazed and were in doubt, saying one to another, What does this mean? Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. But Peter, standing up with the eleven (other Apostles), lifted up his voice and said to them, You men of Judaea and all you who dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you and hearken to my words, for these are not drunk as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day, but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: And it should come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams; and on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit and they shall prophesy Acts 2:1-4, 12-18.

 The Word of God continues:

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart and said to Peter and the rest of the Apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” Acts 2:37-39.

Some time later, the Apostle Paul traveled to Ephesus and while there, he came across disciples and asked them if they had received the Holy Ghost since they believed. They said they hadn’t even heard of the Holy Ghost. They had only been baptized by John, believing in “Him who would come, Jesus.” They were then baptized in the name of Jesus, and when Paul laid his hands on them, they received the Holy Ghost and they spoke in tongues and prophesied (Acts 19).

There are many other passages of scripture that support the gift of the Holy Ghost, which a person can receive of God after they have repented, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, which evidence may be a specific language known on earth, or could be an entirely different language that no one knows, except God and those who prophesy and interpret tongues (1 Corinthians 12:7-11; 1 Corinthians 14).

Jesus told His apostles to wait for the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem, so they would receive power from God. The scriptures tell us what the people of God can do for God’s service, if they are filled with the Holy Ghost:

“And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel (for the coming Messiah-Savior), and the Holy Ghost was upon him and it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ (Messiah-Savior). And he came by the Spirit into the temple and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for Him after the custom of the law, then he took Him in his arms and blessed God and said, Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your Word, for My eyes have seen Your salvation” Luke 2:25-30.

Do you want to be used of God? You need the gift of the Holy Ghost for power and God’s service, especially in these last days. The days are becoming so evil that “except those days be shortened, no flesh would be saved” (Matthew 24:22-24). If you plan to be ready to be “caught up” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) when that hour comes, you need to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Jesus is calling His people to “wait for the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4) today, just as He told His Apostles to wait for the promise, because it was not only for the Apostles, “For the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” Acts 1:39.

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late, because we have no guarantee of tomorrow.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Why Scavenge When You Can Have A Banquet?

SCAVENGE

BANQUET DINING

Why Scavenge When You Can Have A Banquet?

I just finished a series of newsletters on the study of Psalms 91, which continued more than a year. I published the monthly edition focusing on the many promises God has given to us, if we meet the conditions, as outlined in Psalms 91 (newsletters can be viewed at https://nowprophecy.wordpress.com/newsletter).

I have attended church throughout most of my lifetime and I will have lived 70 years a bit later this year. I have met a lot of God’s people, not only in the church I grew up in, but while visiting other churches as well. I have found that not many Christians live according to the specifications outlined in Psalms 91, and though I am no one’s judge, it is evident that most are not recipients of the blessings and promises of Psalms 91, evident by their conversations and lifestyles (a tree is known by its fruit).

God has the very best life laid out for us to live in this world, even through trials/tribulations, but most Christians settle for scavenging for themselves, as opposed to waiting on the Lord for His direction/blessings. If you are a Christian reading this message, ask yourself:

  • Do I give God thanks and praise upon rising each day?
  • Do I pray and read God’s Holy Word before starting each day?
  • Do I surrender myself and all that pertains to me unto to the Lord each day?
  • Do I ask God to direct my paths and deliver me from evil each day?
  • Do I pray before making major decisions/purchases, or do I dive right into something the flesh wants to do/have?
  • Do I pray about my communications with others and who I allow into my home, the house of prayer (is your home God’s house of prayer)?
  • Do I witness to others, especially my own family, at every opportunity?
  • In an emergency, do I call on the name of the Lord, or run for help from the ungodly first and pray later?

These are just a few questions Christians can ask themselves to determine whether they are “in the faith” daily, or living by their own standards/purposes. The Word tells us,

“Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, how Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates?

The Word is admonishes us to examine ourselves to determine whether or not we are in the faith, or if we have gone wandering off on our own way of living. If we allow ourselves to direct our own paths, we will surely find ourselves in a mess of troubles. God, on the other hand, will lead us out of trouble, if we ask Him to and trust in Him daily.

The more God’s people rely on His Word and the promises of God, instead of walking by their natural sight and after the lust of the flesh (what the natural man wants), the more we can sit and eat at God’s banquet table, rather than scavenge for scraps on our own terms. God bless you and yours.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). WHAT DID JESUS REALLY SAY WHEN HE GAVE COMMUNION?

HOLY COMMUNION

The LORD GOD says when His work is finished, not the devil and his cohorts!

GOD has a remnant that will stand against the “Controligarchs” no matter what they do:

 Pedophilia

Child sex trafficking

Child pornography

Boy Love

Transgender insanity

LGBTQ

Witches

Monkeys (evolution)

Free Love

Drunkenness

Drugs

Rock n Roll

Hard Rock

Common Core stupidity

Woke

…and whatever else they throw at us!

“And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God” Romans 12:2

WHAT DID JESUS REALLY SAY WHEN HE GAVE COMMUNION?

I take communion every day and today, as I supped with the Lord, He gave me a revelation about the words He spoke to the Apostles, as He broke bread with them at Passover.

Jesus said these words to His disciples:

“And He took bread and gave thanks and broke it and gave to them, saying, ‘This is My body, which is given for you; this do in remembrance of Me.’” Luke 22:19

Yes, we do partake of Holy Communion, just as Christ and the Apostles did, and it does represent His supreme sacrifices for our salvation, our sanctification, our healing and our blessed peace – and so much more; but there is another message behind this breaking of the bread. The bread represented His body, which was broken for us, meaning He laid down His life to suffer the penalty of death in our behalf, for our sins, so we wouldn’t have to suffer separation from God, in hell forever, for our own sins.

Jesus said, “This is My body, which is given for you” and He said, “this do…” Do what? Give up your body for His sake also. One might say, “No, that’s not what that means; He is only saying eat the bread.” But it really has a two-fold meaning and Jesus is not only telling us to partake of Holy Communion in remembrance of Him, but He is also telling us to give up our lives for Him also, as He did for us. I have proof that He meant just that. Please read the following scriptures:

“I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1

The Word isn’t telling us to go out and find someone to slay us on an altar somewhere, of course; but the Apostle Paul is instructing the saints here to present our bodies a living sacrifice unto the Lord, holy, acceptable; which means we need to be willing to give up our lives for God’s purposes, not our own selfish desires. He also meant that if we really have to suffer death to be a Christian, we are to do just that; we need to love Him that much, just as He loved us enough to give up His throne in glory and come down to earth, giving up His life and body for our sakes.

Jesus also said,

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who does not take his cross (offer his life) and follow after Me is not worthy of Me” Matthew 10:37-38

I believe Jesus’s intentions were plainly demonstrated to us also in other passages of scripture, as well as what He said to the Apostles during Holy Communion, as recorded in Luke 22 (above). He not only said that His body was broken (sacrificed) for us, but He said, “This do in remembrance of Me.”

Jesus said,

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for My sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it” Mark 8:35

“And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me, cannot be My disciple; for which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first to count the cost, whether he has sufficient (means) to finish it?” Luke 14:27-28

This means, brethren, that we are to be willing lay aside our own wants, desires, wealth…what have you, to be a servant of Christ, to do His will, not our own.

“So likewise, whoever of you that does not forsake all he has cannot be My disciple” Luke 14:33

If one is called to be a saint, a missionary, a pastor, an evangelist, a witness wherever one may go…whatever it is we are called to do by Christ, we must be willing to pay the price, or we are not worthy to be His disciple. There are sins of commission, but there are also sins of omission, not obeying the Lord. The Apostles all gave up their lives for the sake of Christ, except John, but he was certainly willing to give up his life. He was held captive on the Isle of Patmos, imprisoned, during which time he received revelations from Christ, the Book of Revelation.

We, the saints of God, are all called to surrender all, to surrender ourselves to the Lord’s will and purpose daily, as did His Apostles, or we are not worthy of Him. He never asks more than we can bear:

“There has no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above which you are able, but will, with the temptation, also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it” 1 Corinthians 10:13

God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). ‘WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS’

PET DOG

PET STORE 2PET HOTEL

I had a dream yesterday, which didn’t make any sense at all when I wrote it down. Most of the dreams and visions I have don’t make any sense when I write them down, until after I pray and ask God for the interpretations, then I go back and write a summary of the dream or vision I wrote down and the Lord then gives me the interpretations of my dreams and visions. The same is true with the dream I had yesterday morning. After I prayed, the Lord gave me the interpretations of all the symbolism and I summarized the meaning of my dream. God is faithful and He always answers my prayers; some are still pending, but He always answers, just as He promised:

“And in that day you will ask Me (Jesus/Yeshua) nothing. Truly I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you” John 16:23 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)

I take my dreams very seriously, because the Word tells us that God speaks to us in our dreams:

“Why do you strive against Him? He does not give an account of any of His matters. God speaks once, yes twice, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men in slumberings upon the bed, then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man. He keeps back his soul from the pit and his life from perishing by the sword” Job 33:13-18.

Joseph interpreted dreams, because of which his brothers were so jealous, they sold him into slavery. In the end, nevertheless, the interpretation of Joseph’s dreams, that got him into trouble with his brothers, came to pass later when he interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, for which Pharaoh promoted Joseph to second in authority over the entire Egyptian empire, only second to himself! Dreams and visions and their interpretations are very significant throughout the scriptures and, again, I take my dreams very seriously, as we all should.

Once God gave me the interpretation of my dream yesterday, I knew in my spirit that the dream was not for me, but that I needed to publish it here, on this website, for one, or more, of those who frequent this site for sermons/messages from God. Even if the dream doesn’t apply to you today, there is a very important message behind this dream, so I pray you will still benefit by it.

THE DREAM

I dreamed I went to a pet store/hotel to return some pet food and I met a boy outside of the store who told me he was very thirsty. I told him that perhaps they had something to drink inside the store for him, if he would ask. A woman heard me speak to the boy and she said they had water inside and I could ask for some, then I noticed a water dispenser with cups, as I looked through the window of the store. The boy was shy and didn’t want to go in, or ask for himself, so I told him I would bring water out to him. I went into the store and I was amazed to see how very nice the accommodations were for pets, and I thought how sad it was that there are so many homeless people who didn’t have nice rooms to live in, such as these hotel-type rooms they had for pets! I went to the counter and returned the pet food I purchased and I met a woman at the cashier’s counter, whose daughter was learning how to walk on stilts. I looked over to the far isle next to the wall and I saw this very pretty girl about 14-15 years old walking on very high stilts. Through her sheer long skirt that covered the stilts, I could see a woman walking along with her right next to the stilts making sure she was measuring each step, so she wouldn’t fall down. After I checked out, I still had the opened pet food I returned and I took it outside to the trash, because they couldn’t resale it. I realized when I left the store that I hadn’t asked for a cup of water for the boy who was thirsty outside, then I woke up.

INTERPRETATION

Pet stores/hotels are very pricey. In this dream I purchased some pricey dog food and I went back to the store to return it, after opening it, for some reason. In the meantime, I saw a boy outside who told me he was very thirsty. This boy was poor, but not only was he poor, he was very thirsty, indicative of not only being in physical need, but spiritual need as well. He was too shy to ask for water from the well-to-do store-owners, and once the woman who passed by confirmed there was water to drink in the store, I offered to bring out some water for the poor, thirsty boy. I went about my business in the elaborate store and was so enamored with the environment and taking care of my own useless business, I completely forgot about the poor boy waiting for some water outside. I met a woman inside the store whose daughter was learning how to walk on very high stilts. Stilts represent being lifted up high above everything else below. The woman who patronized this fancy pet store/hotel was also teaching her daughter to walk high above everyone else and snub the “low life” below, not only by example, but careful instructions, as this young girl was being tutored, step-by-step. The beautiful young girl had a tutor at her feet!

God forbid that any of His children would ignore the needs of a poor, thirsty young boy, pass him up, while shopping in a ritzy pet store/hotel and lavish expensive items, even hotel-like accommodations, on their pets when they travel, etc… Even if we can’t literally see the boy in this life, he and others are out there, very much in need. I say this by experience, that we have no business lavishing anything extra on our pets, while people are hungry and thirsty for the Word. There are many ministries that we can partner with to meet the needs of the poor and minister to their spiritual needs. If the saints of God aren’t already connected with people in need and giving to their needs and ministering to them spiritually, they need to be! Excessive spending on animals, while people around us are hungry and thirsty and have other needs, as well as spiritual needs, is, quite frankly, a sin.

I gladly receive correction from the Lord, and I would have received this reproof for myself, had the Lord not already chastised me about spending too much money on my horse years ago. Besides purchasing some trinkets she didn’t need, even though she did very well on her regular, unlimited feed (horses are trickle feeders and need access to at least grass/hay at all times for their digestive system), I decided to purchase my old mare some Purina horse pellets, what I commonly referred to as her “horsey chow.” The pellets cost considerably more than her regular hay pellets, premium hay and oats I was already feeding her, but I just had to add the horsey pellets to her already fabulous diet! She did love them, but nearby squirrels also loved them and it seemed like every squirrel from miles around moved in to get in on the “horsey chow!” My old mare passed on from fatness and old age a few years ago, but I can’t tell you how many squirrels I have trapped and relocated, but they still love this place and I can’t get rid of them to save my life. A slight reprimand from the Lord for spending too much money on my beloved horse. I received the reproof and regreted it; I repented of the excess spending, when I could have given more to feed the hungry and those in need through the ministries I partner with. So, when the Lord gave me the interpretation of this dream, I knew it wasn’t for me, but He moved on my heart to publish it and I know this is for someone, or others, who will visit and read this message from the Lord.

The Word tells us:

“Why do you spend money for that which is not bread and labor for that which does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to me and eat that which is good and let your soul delight itself in fatness” Isaiah 55:2 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust corrupts and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts and where thieves do not break through nor steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” Matthew 6:21 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
